Role Overview
The salon assistant provides direct, physical support during service days. This role requires prior salon experience and the ability to work independently without training or supervision.

Required Skills
Applicants must already be able to perform the following confidently and independently:
Shampoo natural hair
Condition and detangle
Blow-dry natural hair properly
Complete clean braid-downs
Assist during braiding services
Clean and reset stations
Sanitize tools and workspace
These skills will be verified during a paid trial day. No training is provided.
Schedule
Fixed hours only
Availability must be consistent.
Professional Reference Requirement (Mandatory)
Applicants must provide at least one salon reference, including:
Salon name
Manager/Owner name
Reference role
Official salon phone number (landline or listed business number)
Dates of employment
Personal references will not be accepted.

The braid assistant provides direct, physical support during service days, with a focus on clean braid-downs and assisting with braiding services.
This role requires prior salon experience and the ability to work independently without training or supervision.

Required Skills
Applicants must already be able to perform the following confidently and independently:
• Complete clean, flat braid-downs for weave installs (no bulky bases)
• Create neat, consistent parts
• Assist during braiding services
• Maintain proper braid tension and technique
• Prep hair for services (sectioning, detangling, blow-drying if needed)
• Clean and reset stations efficiently
• Sanitize tools and maintain a clean workspace
These skills will be verified during a paid trial day. No training is provided.

• Ability to keep up with a structured, fast-paced salon environment
• Strong attention to detail — clean work is non-negotiable
• Reliable, punctual, and prepared for each shift
• Able to take direction and execute without repeated instruction
